Description of the Communications & Social Marketing Intervention Component

The COMMUNICATIONS & SOCIAL MARKETING (CSM) intervention component used marketing methods and outreach to complement the strategies and messages of the nutrition, physical education, and behavior intervention components.  This included establishing the HEALTHY ‘brand’, using multi-media messaging, and holding events and activities to promote the study themes.

Materials available are:

  • Centrally-produced posters (printed back-to-front English and Spanish).
  • Public address system message scripts.
